Kambo

Description

Kambo therapy is a powerful medicine used for centuries in the Amazon rainforest to reduce dependency on alcohol and alleviate stress and anxiety.  It is a lymphatic cleanse derived from the secretion of the Amazonian giant waxy tree frog, Phyllomedusa Bicolor.  The secretion is composed of a unique complex of bioactive peptides that produce amazing benefits for body, mind, and spirit.

USES – People use the sacrament for many physical and psychological uses. Although Kambo is not considered a medicine in the west, many people have found relief from ailments. Many people who suffer from autoimmune diseases such as Lyme have found incredible benefits from Kambo, relieving their symptoms and putting life back into their bodies. Kambo has shown fantastic attributes in assisting people with depression, anxiety, and PTSD on a psychological level.

Nominated for the Nobel prize, Italian scientist Vittorio Erspamer of the University of Rome wrote that this secretion contains a ‘fantastic chemical cocktail with potential medical applications, unequaled by any other amphibian’ (1). ‘Among the several dozen peptides found in kambô, up to 7% are bio-active.’(1) They bind with receptor sites situated in the brain, triggering chemical reactions in the human body. So far, researchers have found nine bio-active peptides that have a potent effect on the gastrointestinal muscles, gastric and pancreatic secretions, blood circulation, and on the stimulation of the adrenal cortex and pituitary gland.

APPLICATION: Kambo is applied through minor blister points made in the skin to which the secretion is applied. The burn is not deep, with only the epidermis removed, allowing an entry “gate” for the Kambo into the body. Typically 1 gate microdose is a good introductory Kambo session.  This typically does not involve a purge.  For a full purge, The client is asked to drink about 1/2 liter of water before applying  Kambo to the open gates. The immediate effects are quick and intense but short-lived, usually about 20 (max 30) minutes.

Within the minute, the client will experience a warm flushing sensation over the entire body. The heart rate will increase slightly with a light throbbing sensation in the head. The face may go numb, tingly, or puffy and may also be accompanied by dizziness. These sensations last approximately 5 minutes (plus or minus), followed by 15 minutes of flu-like symptoms where the client may feel weak, achy, and nauseous. Because of the water consumed beforehand, the purge is typically smooth and without discomfort. one physically purges and releases bodily waste, bile, toxins, and dense energy stored in the body. The bioactive peptides and molecules found in the Kambo excretion facilitate deep cleansing and detoxification of the blood cells, organs, and body.

This cathartic release is physical, spiritual, emotional, and energetic. It includes some or all of the following ways to purge or release – vomit, bowel discharge, mucus, tears, shakes, vocal toning, verbal expression, and shamanic/spiritual release. After the purge, the flu-like symptoms dissipate, and the client is usually left feeling relaxed and may experience some euphoria. After a short rest, the client will gain strength and energy back into the body and can continue their day as usual. The benefits from Kambo will be experienced in the following hours, days, and even sometimes weeks.
